About Us

Q Ball Snooker & Sports Bar is a long established members club situated in Basildon, Essex.

Since taking over ownership in September 2005, Gary Taylor (known to most as the Cue Doctor) has taken pride in making the club the best of its kind in the surrounding area. He employs former professional snooker player Brian Salmon as the general manager to oversee the day-to-day running, who along with his friendly team of staff are always happy to welcome customers both old and new.

The club provides only the best facilities with a great atmosphere to match.

Hot and cold food is available every day with chef specials on Saturday & Sunday!

All live premiership football matches are shown across 8 flat screen TV’s including 3:00pm kick off games on a Saturday afternoon.

Entertainment in the form of live bands and tribute acts can be seen from time to time and the popular Sunday evening Q Ball Karaoke is a weekly event – the best sing-a-long in town!

The Snooker room has 5 full size steel block tournament tables, one of which is the practise table of our resident professional snooker player Stuart Bingham. No less than 9 snooker teams represent the club playing across 3 established local leagues, The Vic Harris Snooker League, The Thameside Snooker League and the Basildon Services League.

The Pool room has 7 World Championship Supreme oak tables. 6 teams compete for us in the Basildon & District Pool League. Regular weekly open tournaments are held – check the ‘competitions‘ page for details.

The Darts Areas boast 4 tournament boards. 5 teams choose Q Ball as their preferred venue for home matches within 2 leagues. Darts tournaments are held on a monthly basis – check the ‘What’s On’ Page for details.
